On May 6, 2025, La Maroquinerie in Paris played host to a highly anticipated event for metalcore fans: the explosive return of Make Them Suffer to the stage, as part of their European tour. The date, which had been sold out for several weeks, marked the promotion of their new self-titled album, released in November 2024. Alongside Conjurer and If Not For Me, the Australian band delivered a performance of rare intensity, greeted by a conquered audience.

If Not For Me : powerful opening
The evening kicked off with If Not For Me, a young American metalcore outfit. Despite a room still filling up, their set quickly set the mood. Tracks like Demons and Tragedy set off the first mosh pits, while Blameless united the audience in a moment of pure energy. Their performance ended with Feel Me Now, to an explosion of applause.

Conjurer : heaviness and intensity
British band Conjurer then took over with their dark, heavy sludge metal. Their performance, though shorter, captivated the audience with its immersive power. The previously unreleased track Warmth, from their forthcoming album due in October, generated a great deal of enthusiasm. Highlight of the set: the bassist descended into the pit to join the audience during the explosive Retch.

Make Them Suffer : mastering chaos
Before the main band took to the stage, Killswitch Engage's My Curse echoed through the hall, taken up in chorus by the fans. Then, Make Them Suffer appeared with Epitaph, immediately setting the stage alight. The audience, already fired up, exploded from the very first bars of Bones, carried away by the energy of guitarist Nick and the on-stage complicity of singer Sean. The band played a brilliant succession of songs, alternating classics like Erase Me - taken up in chorus by the whole room - with new compositions. The final triptych of Mana God, Ghost of Me and Oscillator left the audience in shock, with no need for an encore. The power and precision of the set were enough to fulfill all expectations.
This concert at La Maroquinerie confirmed Make Them Suffer's stature in the international metalcore landscape. Between stage intensity, audience communion and musical quality, this Paris date will go down as one of the highlights of their tour. An evening marked by sweat, screams and shared passion: everything a good metal concert should offer.
