Un Peu D'Histoire
Le groupe a été créé en 2014 par les deux frères Octave et Léonard Marlin. Mais le groupe est officiellement actif depuis 2018/2019.
A Propos Du Nom
« « Dawn Spark » signifie une lumière naissante. En rapport avec ce que l’on défend dans nos chansons mais aussi le ressenti de ne jamais être complètement stable. On pourrait apparenter le nom du groupe au simple mot « espoir », cela est aussi en lien avec le clivage des générations sans cesse en recherche de savoir quelle est véritablement notre place dans le monde. Des questions existentielles en d’autre termes. Dawn Spark c’est l’expression brute de tout désirs ressentis ou refoulés. »

Leurs influences sont très vastes mais parmi elles se trouvent Simple Plan, Point North, With Confidence, All Time Low, Yonaka, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Sleeping With Sirens, Bring Me The Horizon, Falling In Reverse, Crown The Empire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, I Prevail et bien d'autres !
Anecdote(s)
« 1ère anecdote, lors de la création du titre éponyme de notre EP « Break away » Octave et moi (Léonard) avions vraiment eut du mal à la réaliser (trop proche j’imagine de la réalité), au moins quelques années avaient passé avant de concrétiser réellement ce titre, le texte nous est intime, il raconte avec quel dégoût nous avons été rejeté lui et moi de notre famille et c’est à quelques jours de notre premier concert avec notre vrai premier gros line up en 2018 au O’Sullivans Backstage by the mill que nous l’avions terminé, imaginez notre détresse ahah ! Des bonnes grosses barres de rires ! Surtout qu’il s’agissait de la première chanson du set.
2ème anecdote, lors de notre passage au New Morning qui soit dit en passant est une salle magnifique doté d’une équipe technique vraiment professionnelle et compétente, nous avons réalisé un concert impressionnant où les gens ont chanté a capella nos paroles, sont montés sur scène à chaque minutes du show. Le plus impressionnant c’était vraiment qu’à certains moments nous n’avions pas à jouer ou chanter, juste à écouter le retour du public qui chantait sans jamais s’arrêter ! Il a fallu tout de même que nous continuions notre chanson au bout d’un moment ahah… C’est à croire que le public faisait le concert à notre place ! »

The band was created in 2014 by the two brothers Octave and Léonard Marlin. But the band has been officially active since 2018/2019.
About The Name
« "Dawn Spark" means an emerging light. In relation to what we defend in our songs but also the feeling of never being completely stable. We could relate the name of the band to the simple word "hope", this is also in connection with the cleavage of the generations constantly in search of knowing what is really our place in the world. Existential questions in other words. Dawn Spark is the raw expression of all felt or repressed desires. »

“1st anecdote : During the creation of the eponymous title of our EP “ Break away ”, Octave and I (Léonard) had really struggled to achieve it (too close I imagine from reality), at least a few years had passed before to really concretize this title, the text is intimate to us, it tells with what disgust we were rejected him and me of our family and it is a few days from our first concert with our real first big line up in 2018 at O ' Sullivans Backstage by the mill that we had finished, imagine our distress ahah! Good big bars of laughter! Especially since it was the first song in the set.
2nd anecdote : During our stay at the New Morning, which by the way is a magnificent hall with a really professional and competent technical team, we performed an impressive concert where people sang a capella our words, went on stage every minute of the show. The most impressive thing was that at certain times we did not have to play or sing, just to listen to the return of the public who sang without ever stopping! We still had to continue our song after a while ahah ... It was like the audience was doing the concert for us! "
