The end of the year was shaping up to be a busy one in terms of concert programming, and while there hasn't been much rest since the summer festivals, hang in there, because December isn't set to be any gentler: here are the dates you won't want to miss to bring this year to a close in style!
We kick off the month with Falling In Reverse. Sold out for a long time, this is a concert that fans have been eagerly awaiting, as the band hadn't returned to France since 2015! And on December 1, they'll be defending their new album Popular Monster at the Accor Arena, accompanied by Hollywood Undead who'll be opening the show!
At the same time, British punk band The Damned will be at the Elysée Montmartre. Known for their legendary live performances, this is sure to be a memorable concert, as they return with Rat Scabies, reforming their 80s line-up!
Accompanied by Our Promise and Seven Blood, Future Palace will be at the Supersonic on December 2 to present tracks from their new album Distortion! The post-hardcore band will offer you an intimate, emotionally-charged concert! The same evening, Monkey3 will be at Backstage BTM with Witchorious! The experimental rock band is on tour following the release of their new album Welcome To The Machine this year!
On December 3, meet Dayseeker at Le Trabendo! With a tendency to push the boundaries, the band likes to mix rock with other genres to make it their own and bring out a unique sound. This is what you'll find on their latest album, which you'll be able to hear live!
The following day, Wednesday December 4, Telegraph return to Parisian stages after a year and a half to celebrate the release of their new album, Life & Stories, released on November 8! A condensation of rock mixed with a more modern electro sound, promising an electrifying live show at Le Petit Bain! The same evening, Savage Grace, who haven't been back to France in over 35 years, will be making their comeback at the Péniche Antipode! On the program: a somewhat nostalgic show, but with a modern touch provided by Hevius, who will open the ball.
On December 5, electro-rock phenomenon Smash Into Pieces will perform at Le Bataclan. With a host of new releases, the band has proved its productivity this year. We invite you to read our article here to find out everything you need to know before their Paris show, where they'll be accompanied by Half Lives!
On December 6, Alcest will be taking the Olympia by storm for their Les Chants de l'Aurore Tour, featuring tracks from their self-titled album released this year.
Following the release of their new album Striped, the explosive duo Ko Ko Mo will be taking over the Olympia on December 7 for a concert that's already Sold Out! To find out more about the band and the album before the concert, we invite you to read our interview here. The same evening, at the Elysée Montmartre, Dying Fetus take to the stage! After a late June date at Le Bataclan with Thy Art Is Murder, the metal / hardcore band will be back in Paris for a one-off date!
A short break until December 10, when Northern Irish rockers Therapy? will perform at Le Petit Bain as part of their Troublegum 30th anniversary tour!
Two days later, on December 12, mythical band Slipknot will be at the Accor Arena! A must-see for long-time metal fans! The band has already announced its return to France in 2025!
On December 14, there's a choice to be made between Lofofora, the legendary committed French metal band, at Le Trabendo, and Eihwar, blending metal and Nordic vocals, at Le Petit Bain. Two very different styles, but with one sure result: a memorable concert.
Finally, following the release of their album Elevate Spirit, French band JIRO will hit the road for 4 dates in December. Passing through Chambéry on December 5, Lyon on December 6 and Issy-Les-Moulineaux on December 7, they'll finish with the Charitable Metal Fest on December 21 at Le Petit Bain, in the company of Solar Eruption and Dropdead Chaos! As a reminder, this is the first charity festival to benefit cerebral palsy research (or how to enjoy a good metal concert while doing a good deed)!
So, which date(s) will you be attending this month?
