It was a long wait - more than 20 years into their career - before Three Days Grace crossed the Atlantic and honored us with a concert, but it was worth it. We were there, lucky us, and we're here to tell you all about it.

The queue is enormous when we arrive at the Trianon. Eager fans form a long line on the sidewalks in front of the venue. Band T-shirts and hoodies are the order of the day. Metalheads are excited to finally see Three Days Grace in our beloved capital, Paris.
We enter the venue, and I marvel at its beauty. It's a place as perfect as it is atypical for metal, I think to myself; the antique moldings, the gilding, the paintings, the ceiling of the hall, everything is worthy of a theater of yesteryear. One would more easily expect to hear an opera or a symphony than two rock bands, screaming, singing, and playing heavy music. And yet...

Badflower opens the show. In the audience, some connoisseurs are thrilled to see them, while others are discovering them for the first time. But whether or not the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs, Josh Katz and his band know how to get the party started, right from the first song. The connection with the audience is perfect! People are jumping, clapping their hands, throwing themselves into the circle pit... In short, the more the crowd gives, the more energy the band gives back! Josh is like a kid who's eaten too many sweets! He's overexcited and even throws himself off the balcony directly into the hands of the fans, who carry him up to the stage! He talks to us, throws in a few words of French, keen to maintain that connection. He even congratulates the photographers for dancing and singing in the pit. Our Eden, dear boss and official Earama photographer, even receives personal congratulations from Josh for the energy she exudes, to the point where he asks her to hold his microphone while he sings Stalker, sitting on the edge of the stage.
The first part is therefore extremely well chosen and sets the mood before the arrival of the long-awaited Three Days Grace. The intermission is short-lived, and when the lights go down, the excitement and emotion are at their peak, as is the venue, which couldn't have accommodated one more fan, so packed was it!
Three Days Grace takes the stage and the crowd goes wild! From the very first notes, the audience can't contain themselves, with screams of joy, jumping, and singing shaking the legendary walls of this magnificent venue. The band is thrilled to be there and tells us how important it is for them to be in France and how moved and touched they are by the audience's welcome and energy.

Three Days Grace has been successful with every album, maintaining strength and determination for their music despite the fluctuations and adjustments they have faced with their singers. Indeed, Adam Gontier, the original singer, sought treatment for addiction and depression, writing magnificent songs that were masterfully set to music by the band. However, his health remained fragile, and he announced his departure in 2013. He was replaced by Matt Walts, brother of the band's bassist, Brad Walts, and finally rejoined Three Days Grace two years ago alongside the new singer.
It's a tortuous story, but one with a happy ending, with two complementary and fabulous singers! For us metal fans, it's pure joy to have these two on stage. Complicit and professional, the emotion and heavy, punchy sound of Three Days Grace are twice as strong! Adam asked us to give the band and Matt a standing ovation for making great music during his absence and allowing him to return to the adventure with them thanks to their tenacity and creativity, maintaining their success and audience. It was a truly touching moment.
Adam also treats us to a solo guitar and vocal performance, and what a song it is: Creep, one of my favorites, timeless and magical, a song that must be handled with skill and care, and here... The result is so powerful that the audience has tears in their eyes and goosebumps. Bravo, sir.
Between each song, the audience chants the band's name over and over again: “Three Days Grace, Three Days Grace...” The crowdsurfing never stops, there's wall of death and circle pits galore, endless ovations and applause. Their performance is a resounding success and I can assure you that the atmosphere is electric!
Their perfect technique and energy, which grew until the very end, gave us a high-quality concert. To finish on a high note, Three Days Grace promised to come back very soon, and judging by this concert, I would say that they keep their promises. Let's hope my prediction is right, and we'll be there next time, that's for sure!
