Australian metalcore band Void Of Vision have just announced a farewell tour of their homeland for 2025, bringing to a close a musical adventure spanning more than a decade. A final chapter in seven acts, which they will share with Gideon, UnityTX and Knosis.
It's with shared melancholy that Void Of Vision fans prepare to live out the final moments of this musical adventure that has marked a decade. After a career spanning more than 10 years, the Melbournians are preparing to bid farewell to their fans with the What I'll Leave Behind tour, which will criss-cross Australia's major cities in February 2025.
Formed in Melbourne in 2013, Void of Vision quickly established themselves as a rising force in Australian metalcore. Their debut album, Children of Chrome (2016), catapulted them to prominence with an explosive mix of sharp riffs and an acerbic critique of the ills of modern society. In 2019, with Hyperdaze, the band explored darker, more industrial sounds, while retaining the raw intensity that has become their trademark. These musical evolutions, combined with their remarkable stage energy, have enabled them to build an international career alongside iconic bands such as Northlane and Stray from the Path.
A career marked by authenticity
The band announced their split after the cancellation of their North American tour, following health problems for singer Jack Bergin, who had undergone surgery for an arteriovenous malformation of the brain. While the operation was not the only reason for the band's demise, it undeniably played a role in the members' thought process. After more than ten years in the business, they felt it was time to call it a day, as the band expressed in a message on their social networks:
"After over a decade of devotion, intensity and passion, we have decided that it is time to bid farewell to Void of vision. As you can all understand, recent years have inspired a lot of reflection and granted us the perspective needed to make this decision. We have accomplished much more than we could have ever imagined with this band and experienced things we could have only ever dreamt of upon starting this journey together. Thank you for all the support, thank you for the memories and thank you for sharing the highs and lows that have truly shaped all of our lives for the better. We could'nt think of a better way to leave our legacy than with a final tour around australia to selebrate the culmination of our career and the band at the best that it's ever seen."
The last trip
The What I'll Leave Behind tour will offer Australian fans one last opportunity to experience Void of Vision live. The tour kicks off in Brisbane on February 14, 2025, and will take in several major Australian cities before finishing in Perth on February 22. This will be a unique opportunity for fans to bid farewell to a band that has left its mark on Australian metal history. Void of Vision will leave the stage in style, offering a final tribute to the community that has supported them throughout their career.
