Baroque return for Cradle of Filth with The Screaming of the Valkyries

Cradle of Filth released their fourteenth studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries , on March 21, 2025. With the opening single To Live Deliciously. Dani Filth and his band plunge back into the depths of gothic and baroque metal, between sharp riffs, macabre symphonies and libertarian rage.

The era of silence is over. Cradle of Filth returns with a new studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries, out March 21, 2025, via Napalm Records. Four years after Existence Is Futile, Dani Filth and his crew re-enter the realm of extreme metal with an album that draws as much from the romantic darkness of Dusk... and Her Embrace as it does from the raw power of Hammer of the Witches .

The first flash of this new era: To Live Deliciously , a visceral, theatrical and deliciously provocative single. The group unfolds a libertine, almost incantatory atmosphere, where Dani celebrates life, the present moment, "without worrying about the conformities of religion, fashion or the State". Musically, it's pure Cradle: sharp riffs, gothic layers, possessed growl and breaks as sharp as they are theatrical.

Produced by Scott Atkins (Grindstone Studios), The Screaming of the Valkyries features nine tracks ranging from blasted fury ( Demagoguery ), abysmal melancholy ( Non Omnis Moriar ), and epic flights like You Are My Nautilus . The band continues to play the balancing act between rough death'n'roll, theatrical black and tragic melodies.

Behind the gothic decorum and grandiloquent orchestrations, Cradle of Filth still cultivates this romantic flame and this taste for dark excess. And in 2025, the Valkyries no longer sing. They scream.
