Roxanne, the Switzerland talent on the french stage

Before the headliners appeared, Roxane had the honor of opening the evening.

Alone on stage with her acoustic guitar, the Swiss singer-songwriter immediately set an intimate and elegant atmosphere. Blending folk, soul and subtle rock-jazz influences, her music is carried by a powerful and crystal-clear voice. Her deliberately restrained stage presence allows the emotion and sincerity of her performance to take center stage.

The setlist featured songs such as Have To Let You Go, No Good For Me, Toxic and Russian Blues, before highlighting Rain On My Parade, her single released in April 2025. Each song was met with warm applause, and despite the early hour, the audience quickly fell under her spell. Roxane closed her set with Need Somebody and Black Swan, leaving behind a captivated crowd and the perfect introduction to the night ahead.

Electric Pyramid : a sunshine of a release party !

Shortly before 9 p.m., Electric Pyramid took over a now sold-out Café de la Danse. The concert marked the European release of LION, their second album released that very day, and the excitement in the room was unmistakable.

The minimalist stage design, enhanced by subtle lighting, allowed each musician to shine. Frontman Ol Beach, with his warm and slightly raspy voice, was joined by guitarists Linus Taylor and Fabio Zini, a bassist, drummer Chris Brice, and backing vocalists and percussionists Gin Loren and Molly McQueen, whose presence added depth and soul to the performance.

The show opened with Lone Runner and Kihim Rising, instantly delivering the band’s signature sunny, 70’s-inspired energy. Smiles spread across the audience as Ol Beach occasionally addressed the crowd in French, strengthening the bond between band and fans.

New tracks quickly followed: Mindful Eye and Supersize impressed with their catchy melodies and classic rock influences, while Rob the Man and Wild World raised the intensity. The title track LION stood out as an emotional highlight, offering a more introspective moment.

Midway through the set, Gin Loren took the spotlight for a soulful interlude. Her performance of Human Race became one of the evening’s standout moments, bringing a powerful R&B flavor seamlessly into Electric Pyramid’s universe. Ol Beach returned to lead the final stretch with High Flying Kind, the darker Land Of Ghosts, and the guitar-driven Devil Eyes. The main set concluded with the hypnotic One Go and the explosive Tower.

The encore delivered three final moments of shared joy with Silver Screens, River and Diorama. Flashlights filled the room as the audience danced along, bringing the night to a heartfelt and communal close.

With this Paris show, Electric Pyramid delivered a release party true to the spirit of LION: generous, warm and deeply human, once again proving their ability to connect and uplift.
