The year kicks off with one of the most eagerly awaited dates: Electric Callboy, who are set to set the main stage at La Villette alight with a show that promises to be as electric as it is moving. Accompanied by Bury Tomorrow and Wargasm, the lineup promises an extraordinary evening of metalcore that is sure to get the crowd sweating.

Wargasm kicks things off, the British band takes to the stage with Bad Seed, a track that sets the tone for the evening right from the start. The venue isn't full, but the crowd is there and ready to rock. A party atmosphere quickly takes hold as Sam Matlock and Milkie Way perform the band's biggest hits, such as Vigilantes, Pyro Pyro, and D.R.I.L.D.O. Milkie juggles the microphone and bass with all the skill and confidence of a seasoned frontwoman. In the audience, small mosh pits are already forming, even if the circle pits are taking longer to get going. But it's only the beginning of the evening, after all. After a good half-hour set, the band thanks the crowd at the Zenith before concluding with their hit Do It So Good.

The wait is over before we know it, as the lights go down, preparing us for the next act. The giant screens light up to reveal a message explaining that the “purge” is open, and that “Commencing at the siren, any and all mosh pits including walls of death will be legal for 45 continuous minutes.”
Bury Tomorrow takes the stage, one by one, making the crowd scream with every step. The siren sounds, and Choke begins. What better entrance than with their #1 hit? From the very first seconds, the audience is delirious, the almost full venue starts mosh pits and screams the lyrics, giving the British quintet a warm welcome. They talk to us, wave to us, but above all, they make us jump, sing, headbang, and slam - and that's what we expect from a metal concert. Circle pits were the order of the day, as were slams, which gave security guards a hard time because there were so many of them.
Even though they have always paid close attention to it, we are now seeing a carefully crafted stage design that has evolved considerably, much like the confidence of Dan Winter-Bates, the band's singer and frontman, who is no longer content to just sing and get the crowd going; he now takes center stage and commands attention. Since the Trabendo in 2024, we have seen real progress. Changing the size of the stage doesn't seem to have scared them; on the contrary, it seems to have given their playful souls a boost, both in terms of stage presence and technique. While each musician knows what they're doing, is having fun, and giving it their all, Dan proves just how resilient his vocal cords are, even when put to the test.
The band followed up with hits from their repertoire such as DEATH, Let Go, and the powerful Villain Arc, the track that introduced their new album Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience to the world two years earlier. This new album also gave us What If I Burn?, which Bury Tomorrow did not fail to perform live. It was an emotionally charged moment that began with a beautiful speech by the frontman, supported by his bandmates, and under the flashes of the entire audience's phones.
With emotion, big sound, and an atmosphere worthy of the biggest metal concerts, Bury Tomorrow hit hard and perfectly prepared the audience for the arrival of the long-awaited headliner.

The intermission is a time for people to recover from their emotions, catch their breath after wild pogo dancing, and refill their cups. But no one has time to long for music, as Electric Callboy's entrance time arrives quickly.
The German band takes to the stage under the command of a robot who will be the conductor for the evening, to the opening notes of TANZNEID, their latest single and already a big hit for the fans in the packed venue. These first notes break the silence that had enveloped the room, the calm before the storm, and unleash the hurricane. This is the first song in a set of over twenty tracks that already sets the tone: Electric Callboy are here to make us sing and sweat!

They quickly move on to their most requested songs, such as their covers of Sum41, Tekkno Train, and Hypa Hypa, but they don't forget their early fans, giving them several moments in the spotlight throughout the evening. The band knows how to put together a setlist and put on a show, and that's what they came to prove.
There are as many hit songs as there are upbeat remixes, surprises galore, and emotional moments in the midst of this almost parodic rave party. The whole band displays unstoppable technique and infectious energy that whips the crowd into a recreational frenzy of mosh pits and pogos, but also a lot of empathy and support.
In a quieter moment, they draw our attention to the stage where Frank Zummo, former drummer of Sum41 and new drummer of Electric Callboy, delivers a most impressive solo, leaving the audience speechless, stunned, and focused on the stage so that they don't see Nico and Kevin settling down on a piano in the middle of the audience. For a few minutes, we let ourselves be carried away by the notes of the sweet ballad that Fuckboi can be when played acoustically. But it doesn't last. After starting Everytime We Touch on the piano for the first minute, the frontmen abandon the sweetness and start screaming the lyrics while jumping around on stage! The crowd was waiting for just that and gets back into it after a well-deserved short break!
It's a real show : flames, fireworks, confetti, T-shirt cannons... Every element of the set design, from the stage costumes to the giant screens, has been carefully selected with unfailing professionalism and perfectionism. The crowd has stars in their eyes, but also confetti and ribbons in their pockets!
They bid us a first farewell with Elevator Operator, to which the crowd responds with applause, cheers, and chants, begging them to stay a little longer. The band responds and returns not for one, not for two, but for three songs, which will rev up the audience for one last metal rodeo before the evening concludes with We Got The Moves.

There are undoubtedly details we have omitted, or elements we have not mentioned, but this does not reflect any shortcomings we may have felt about the show. On the contrary, it was a feast for the eyes and ears, and it is so difficult to convey everything to you. And then... The goal is to make you want to go, it's no fun if you know all the secrets!
But this TANZNEID WORLD TOUR marks a new stage in Electric Callboy's journey. Every fan left more than impressed by this evening, where the three bands on the bill showed us their potential, leaving us wondering how far they are capable of going.
