Igorrr releases Daemonia, the new music video from Amen

Igorrr recently shared Daemoni, the latest music video from his album Amen, released on September 19 via Metal Blade Records. The video plunges viewers into the heart of his dark and disturbing visual universe, perfectly illustrating the album's unique atmosphere.

The end of this year is proving prolific for Igorrr fans. The French musical maverick has just unveiled the video for Daemoni, the opening track from the album Amen (released on September 19 via Metal Blade Records). After ADHD, Blasbeat Falafel, Infestis, and Headbutt (which introduced us to the surprising encounter between a digger and a piano), the latest release plunges us a little deeper into the dark and disturbing universe that we love so much about Igorrr and which is very much in evidence in this new opus.

For Gautier Serre (AKA Igorrr himself, multi-instrumentalist and producer), "this album is definitely darker than its predecessors; it has a very heavy and solemn atmosphere that has never been achieved before in Igorrr. Recording a real choir in a church helped a lot. But above all, there was a long and meticulous process of working on the sound and choice of instruments, as well as in-depth experimental research to create a unique sound design."

For 20 years, Igorrr has continued to surprise and fascinate, offering unexpected and successful bridges between opposing genres. Black metal, baroque, and trip hop have blended together over the years to create this pioneering auditory curiosity, influenced as much by Chopin as by Cannibal Corpse. All this with an almost uninterrupted renewal of working methods and adjustments. Gautier admits that "it's always difficult to know where my inspiration comes from. Music is an expression of life, and everything, even the most insignificant things, can be a source of inspiration. I would say that there was no single event or experience that led me to a creative process; it's more of an accumulation of everything."

And if you too want to hear for yourself what Amen has to offer live, Igorrr will be touring Europe throughout October, with numerous dates in France, including the highly anticipated show at the Olympia in Paris on October 17.
