Whiplash : The first punch of Architects' new album !

There's no need to introduce Architects to the world of metalcore, and they seem more determined than ever to make their mark! The British clique formed in 2004, known for their blend of melodic sound and hard-hitting riffs, are about to unveil their eleventh album, entitled The Sky, The Earth & All Between, to be released on February 28, 2025 (pre-order here).

And what better way to whet our appetites than with a taste of the album, with the single Whiplash, produced by Jordan Fish and released on November 19. It's accompanied by a hard-hitting video clip that looks like a mini-movie. The short film, shot in Slovenia, plunges us into a revolting atmosphere, perfectly in tune with the power of the track. Dan Searle confided excitedly :

“We've long admired director Specter for his work with Rammstein, so it was a pleasure to invite him to create something for this song. His visual concept brought the lyrics to life in a unique way that may raise more questions than answers, but that's sometimes the beauty of art. Whiplash' marks the start of a new era for Architects. It's a track that speaks of tribalism, of a deepening chasm between human beings, based simply on opinions and beliefs. It gave us the opportunity to explore these concepts in an unprecedented way, and for the first time in a long time, it gave us the desire to write something really fierce”.

This track joins its two predecessors, Seeing Red (released on December 4, 2023) and Curse (released on April 9, 2024), which between them have accumulated over 70 million streams, heralding the success of the next album.

And that's not all! Following this mouth-watering announcement, the band - made up of Sam Carter, Dan Searle, Alex Dean and Adam Christianson - have confirmed a very busy tour. In fact, they've just announced not one, not two, but four headline shows in France next March, in addition to the rest of the dates announced all over Europe. Tickets now on sale here.

10 March - Lille, France - Zenith

11 March - Strasbourg, France - Zenith

12 March - Nantes, France - Zenith

14 March - Lyon, France - Halle Tony Garnier

The 4 concerts in the French provinces announced today confirm Architects' firm intention of rallying the entire French public to their cause!
