The third day promised a particularly exciting schedule, even as fatigue was starting to be felt. The number of festival-goers kept increasing, just like the temperature! On the agenda for attendees: caps, bandanas, sunscreen, and bare chests to best cope with the growing heat.

I started this third day with All For Metal on the Dave Mustage at 14:15. And what better way to kick things off than with such a federating set? The band doesn’t do things halfway: overflowing energy, choruses made to be shouted along to, and constant interaction with the crowd. Despite the overwhelming heat, the audience responds immediately, between smiles and the first headbangs of the day. A perfect opening to get everyone moving again.

I then headed to the press area for an interview with Locomuerte (available here), which will undoubtedly remain one of the funniest moments of the day. Between jokes, boundless energy, and unlikely anecdotes, the exchange quickly goes in every direction, exactly like their music. A real moment of release in an already packed schedule.

I continued with an interview with Yannick from Paleface Swiss (available here), in a very different atmosphere. More calm, more introspective, the discussion allowed us to explore the band’s evolution, their artistic vision, and the intensity they put into their music. An interesting contrast with the raw energy they deliver on stage.

Back to the concerts with Skeletal Remains on the Supositor at 16:35. The tone changes completely: uncompromising death metal takes over. Sharp riffs and relentless rhythm, the band imposes its power from the very first minutes. The crowd is not mistaken, and the first real mosh pits of the day start to form, despite the still crushing heat.

At 17:25, I head to the Dave Mustage for Tenside, take the stage instead of ILL NINO who couldn’t make it here. The German band delivers a modern and highly effective set, blending metalcore with catchy choruses. The energy is contagious, and the audience follows without hesitation, carried by a tight and intense performance.

At 18:15, Enforcer takes the Supositor stage, bringing a completely different vibe. Here, we dive back into a more classic, almost vintage heavy metal, but incredibly effective. The riffs are sharp, the solos controlled, and the atmosphere feels like old-school metal at its finest. The crowd, won over, stays engaged from start to finish.

At 19:10, it’s back to the Dave Mustage for Enslaved. The Norwegians deliver a dense and immersive set, oscillating between black metal and progressive passages. The atmosphere becomes heavier, more enveloping, almost ceremonial at times. A performance that demands attention, but rewards those who fully dive into it.

A radical change of atmosphere at 20:05 with Paleface Swiss on the Supositor. And here, there is no room for restraint: the band literally unleashes the crowd. For the crowd, it is, without a doubt, the most hardcore moment of the festival, making the dirt fly for miles around the fest ! Massive breakdowns and uncontrollable energy quickly turn the pit into chaos. A true live slap, fully living up to their reputation.

The evening continues with Envy at 22:15 on the Massey Ferguscene. In a much more emotional atmosphere, the band offers a suspended moment, blending post-hardcore with atmospheric passages. The contrast with the previous sets is striking, but works perfectly. The audience lets itself drift, almost weightless.

At 23:10, the Dave Mustage welcomes Trivium for one of the major highlights of the day. And the band does not disappoint: a solid setlist, flawless execution, and a crowd entirely won over. The songs follow one another, circle pits multiply, and the energy never drops. A perfectly calibrated show.

Finally, the night ends with Batushka at 00:25 on the Supositor. The atmosphere becomes mystical, almost ritualistic. Between liturgical chants, incense, and a carefully crafted staging, the band offers a unique, immersive, and intriguing experience. A perfect way to close such an intense day.

This third day was marked by an impressive diversity of styles and atmospheres, ranging from the most raw energy to far more introspective moments. Despite the fatigue and the heat, the Motocultor continues to deliver on all its promises, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to imagine that the adventure is slowly coming to an end.
